The State of California’s Office of the District Attorney was created in 1851. With office locations in Roseville and Tahoe City, the District Attorney oversees 23 towns and cities, serving the more than 370,000 residents that call our Northern California region home. The Placer County District Attorney’s Office has 14 active units and divisions ranging from Elder Services and Drug Court to Family Protection and Child Abuse Services.

The Office of the District Attorney preserves public safety and enhances the quality of life in Placer County by investigating crime, prosecuting criminals, assisting victims and survivors of crime, protecting the health and well-being of children and deterring juveniles from criminal activity.
